ART RETURN POLICY
At Karen Clerke Studio, each artwork is created by hand with great care and intention. Because of the unique and original nature of each piece, all artwork sales are final and non-refundable.
Please review all photos, descriptions and dimensions carefully before purchasing. If you have any questions about a piece prior to purchase, I am always happy to help.
If your artwork arrives damaged during shipping, please contact me within 48 hours of delivery with photos of the packaging and damage so I can assist you.
SOAP RETURN POLICY
Due to the personal care nature of handmade soap products, all soap sales are final and non-refundable.
I cannot accept returns, exchanges, or refunds on opened or used products for hygiene and safety reasons.
If your order arrives damaged or incorrect, please contact me within 48 hours of delivery and I can gladly work to make it right. I encourage customers to read all ingredient listings carefully before purchasing.

PASTELS:
Due to the delicate nature of pastels, artwork is sold unframed. Each piece is protected with glassine and packaged between foam boards to help safeguard the surface during shipping and handling.

Returns
Can I return or exchange my order?
Due to the handmade and personal nature of our products, all sales are final and we are unable to accept returns or exchanges.
Why are your products final sale?
Each item is handcrafted in small batches or created as a one-of-a-kind piece. For hygiene reasons, soaps and personal care products cannot be returned, and artwork and books are made with unique characteristics that make each piece special.
What if there is an issue with my order?
Your satisfaction is important to us. If your order arrives damaged or there is an issue with your purchase, please contact us and we will do our best to help.
Can I ask questions before purchasing?
Absolutely. We understand that selecting handmade artwork and artisan goods is a personal decision. If you have questions before purchasing, please reach out—we are happy to help guide you.
Shipping
How long will it take for my order to ship?
Please allow 3–5 business days for order processing before shipment. During busy seasons or periods of small-batch production, processing times may be slightly longer.
How much does shipping cost?
Shipping costs are calculated at checkout based on the size and weight of your order. Because our soaps are substantial in weight and all items are carefully packaged by hand, shipping rates reflect the care taken to ensure safe delivery.
Will I receive tracking information?
Yes. Once your order has shipped, you will receive a tracking number via email.
Do you ship internationally?
At this time, we primarily ship within the United States. Please contact us if you are interested in international shipping options.
What if my package is delayed?
While we work hard to prepare orders promptly, we are not responsible for delays caused by shipping carriers, weather, or other circumstances beyond our control.

Are your soaps suitable for sensitive skin?
Our soaps were originally formulated for sensitive, post-radiation skin and are made with gentle, thoughtfully selected ingredients. However, every individual's skin is unique, so we recommend reviewing ingredients carefully and performing a patch test when needed.
How long does a bar of soap last?
The lifespan of a soap bar depends on frequency of use and storage. When kept on a well-draining soap dish and allowed to dry between uses, a bar can last several weeks.
Are your pieces truly one of a kind?
Yes. Every handmade item carries its own unique character. Variations in color, texture, and detail are part of the beauty of handcrafted work and ensure that no two pieces are exactly alike.
What materials do you use?
Each product is thoughtfully created using high-quality materials chosen for both beauty and longevity. Specific materials and ingredients can be found within individual product descriptions.
Can I request a custom piece?
